Classes

I have been known to teach a wide variety of basic classes, especially on textiles and clothing. I am a dabbler, and enjoy learning new things. There’s just not enough time in the world for me to do all the crafts I want to! So I teach others.

Sari class – The word doc of my quick-n-dirty Indian Sari class, for those who want just enough knowledge to not get into trouble.

Ropa class  – The doc of the simple elizabethan/spanish ropa (loose robe/overcoat) class, based loosely on Janet Arnold’s Patterns of Fashion 1. This is how to do a simple, middle class “late period” coat with ties. At some point, I’ll go back and make the drawings better.

Tablet Weaving – My basic tablet weaving class notes

The Dungiven Doublet, Or, A Doublet So Simple Even a Fencer Can Make It –The Dungiven doublet is a rectangular construction doublet from late 16th c Ireland. It is dead simple to make, for certain body types. (unfortunately, you need to be a cylinder. Those of us with chests/breasts need to find something else.)

How To Write Documentation My 3 page handout on how to write documentation in the SCA. This is my version of training wheels.
