Beef Pasties

I explain pasties as the original “Honey! Don’t forget your lunch!” food. This is the inauthentic version – the medieval recipes we have involve raisins, currents, and spices. Coming back to the comfort food theme, I wanted something more “normal” tasting.

Beef Pasties
2 lb ground beef
2 med onions
1T kosher salt
2T parsley
1T sage
2 boxes puff pastry

Roll out pastry. Place roughly a ¼ c. of meat in the center, fold over the pastry, seal the edges with water. Bake in 350 oven for 20 min, or until pastry is golden.
